Only a few women commented??? Oh no Wolf, you'll have to go back through the 
archives. It was a very heated discussion. Personally, my feeling is that 
there  is no way that I am going to convince someone that women's voices are 
G-d given if they don't want to know that. And I refuse to go into any 
venues even as an audience member where Kol Isha is in practice. Sorta like 
refusing to pretend that Colored Only signs didn't exist in the 1950s(I 
refused to do that too). So vote with your feet and money. If I as a woman 
am not viewed as "good enough" to sing someplace, then my money doesn't 
belong there either.
Having gone to Lubavitch Yeshiva, I know all the arguements for and against 
Kol Isha. I will never change those who strongly believe in it. And it is my 
feeling that they lose out, by not hearing what the other half of 
Judaism...women have to say and create. But, hey, they aren't , in my 
opinion listening much to begin with.
