As an aside,

In the category entitled "Only in Israel"  the following:

I remember reading that some big rabbi in Israel paskened that Dana 
International could still be counted in a minyan......born a man always a 
man, I guess.   (I am sure that Dana International is beating down the doors 
of the shul to get in.
