This is exactly the point where the wise person follows what you just said and 
simply does NOT respond further--that includes the person who wrote these 
words, and any person(s) who feel obligated to respond, as well.

There is a point in any conversation over issues that are deeply polarizing, 
where what could be said that might be heard, has been said. Beyond that, there 
is nothing left but that which will be heard--by you, by the person to whom you 
piously respond--as personal insult and misunderstanding.

It is a good time to move on. There is enough of this about, already.
