how about this: since the pasuk says va'taam lahem",
and since someone pointed out that the song echoed the
beginning of the chapter, could we not say that she
replied to the mens singing by singing as well, but
that she and the other women went somewhere where they
woulent be heard by the men(as is implied by the fact
that she took the other women with her)
