I know that it's late (early), but if you think that this was a personal
interpretation, please read the post. The candy cane explanation is from
Christian web sites and was posted in response to a question posed by Reyzl.
If we as Jews are surprised by the meaning of the candy cane to (at least
some) Christians, it merely shows how unaware we are of (and perhaps have
even adopted) the Christian symbols pervasive in America.
