If you have a CD burner, this implies (to me) that it burns CDs from a
computer, thus software is needed. There are a number of stand-alone CD
recorders, some of these will record one piece at a time sequentially onto a
CD, these would need no software, you could record straight from a DAT or
turntable, etc.

the other Seth (probably the only list I'm on where we should have to figure
out how to tell one Seth from other Seth...)
