One of my favorite fusionizers that doesn't get enough exposure is the
Klezmer Jazz Quartet from Chicago. The pianist, Bob Applebaum, spins off
very melodic jazz fantasies on Jewish themes that are wonderful to hear.
They have one album, Hora and Blue, but since it's on Global Village I am not
sure how available it is.
