Re: "Shagitz"?



 I agree with Lane on this one. Intonation and context are important clues to
whether shaygitz is being used as a pejorative term or a statement of fact.
(I read in one Yiddish dictionary that shaygitz was synonomous with handsome)
as in "a shagitz punim".  So when I say, "Patrick Swayze is a good looking 
shagitz, I am communicating two facts.
