Ron, who asked the original question, makes a number of good points, 
which do not require my amplification. But think carefully. His original 
question was whether the Jewish rapper he heard was "Jewish" music. 
Inasmuch as the same question could be asked about Klezmatics, New 
Orleans Klezmer, Debbie Friedman, even Shlomo Carlebach at one time, I 
think the real issue is whether our preconceived notions about rap music 
are preventing us from finding out its inherent value.
