A Ba'al-Teshuvah (female form: Ba'alat-Teshuvah) is
a repentant Jew, a.k.a. New-born Jew.
A prayer leader is known as Ba'al(at)-Tefilah,
Sheli'ach- (Shelichat-) Tzibbur, or as a Chazzan(it).
