There are still some tickets for this week's events at the Yiddishkayt Los
Angeles Festival, Food for the Soul, going on this week. The Havdole and
Cabaret with Dave Wall and Marilyn Lerner on Saturday night, is, however, sold
out. Josh Waletzky's lecture in Yiddish with musical illustrations, Laughter
in Yiddish Song on Saturday night was incredible, with an audience of over 150
Yiddish speakers hanging on his every delightful word. He repeats it in
English on Wednesday afternoon. We had a capacity crowd (several thousands
throughout the day) at the Family Festival, One Foot in America...the Lower
East Side, at the Skirball this past Sunday, I'm happy to report.
