Re: Shmuel Lehman

Dear Itzik,

Your suggestions as to "Arbet un Frayhayt" as well as Ganovim Lider really
stuck a chord with me. I have had a discussion with your mother about the
website which I am working on to distribute original Yiddish and klezmer
music (initially) in downloadable sheet music form through the Internet. I
also had 1 conversation with Hankus Netsky sometime ago about including
some facsimile copies and re-notated versions of some of the old European
klezmer folios that the KCB Foundation has. For various reasons, I haven't
had a chance to focus on the reproduction of old music aspect of my venture
yet. But it may be simpler to start with the 2 collections of vocal music
which you reference. Do you know which libraries or collections have
copies of Lehman's collections?

I will shortly send Beyle the initial draft of an agreement to include the
songs which she and I have discussed on my website. Undoubtedly she will
send the document on to you or talk to you about it.

I look forward to hearing from you.
