Lorele - That songsheet you mentioned from the Cleveland College of Jewish
Studies is by Isaac Reingold, Chicago's greatest Yiddish folk poet of the
19th century. It is a parody of Goldfaden's "Faryomert, Farklogt". Funny
but that song has come up again recently when Kurt Bjorling sent me a
cassette copy of a 78 recording of it. Is it identified on the song sheet
as Reingold's song? - Itzik
