Re: creepy: Hatikvah



Yeah, Smetana used the same basic melody, but supposedly, the German
childrens song "Alle meine Entchen" (All my little ducklings) which uses
the
same theme in major, predated the Smetana minor version. They seem to
all have a basic source dating back to G-d knows when, but all seem to
have some central European common ground childrens song.
