In a message dated 98-05-17 23:07:01 EDT, you write:
<< Only teach a
song if your group is quiet and listening. Once they know it don't try to
sing loud enough to be heard over the entire group! (you can even just mouth
the words once the group is singing) Sing in a key that is comfortable for
you, even if it's not perfect for everyone in your group. Do a slow quiet
song every once in a while! >>
This is great advice for all of us, from a real expert! Thanks, Q! and
thanks, Josh Segal, for writing in with this one!
For me, I have asthma and just cannot and do not sing loud, fast songs. I
tend to slow down even the upbeat songs, and definitely lower the key to meet
my needs.
And I am considering the voice lesson thing.
