I would imagine Lou Singer is the jazzer percussionist/vibist who
appears on some "cool" lounge sides in the 50s with Esquivel and the
like as well as some cuts with pianist Errol Garner...Ralph Hansell
likewise is a jazz vibist/percussionist who played session stuff with
Mel Torme.....Along these same lines... I just finished a very neat
interview with the great pianist and influential Latin/Jewish world
fusion pioneer (Bagels and Bongos, More Bagels and bongos) Irving
Fields, (that will appear in the Feb AAJ-NY...he will be 89 this year
and has begun a 3 day a week gig in NYC at the East River Cafe....
