Re: Lishner and Omega



As far as I know the Welk Group still owns Vanguard's pop and folk (and most 
of the Yiddish) catalog.

They certainly do have a number of great Jewish discs in their possession - 
Warschauer, Lipovsky, Lishner, Schlamme, Bernardi... not to mention their 
non-ashkenazic holdings, such as Shoshana Damari and the Karmon collections. I 
wonder who owns the fabulous Itamar lp - them or Welk (who has the rights to 
the 
other half of the catalog, all the folk stuff, Jan Peerce, Klezmer Conservatory 
Band...)
