re:  The tempo--I found I had to slow it by 10% to feel comfortable dancing
it.  I wonder if Tarras was playing it at a normal dance tempo or if he was
playing it for listening.  Marianne is sending me a tape of her version so
I'll be able to compare the tempo.  I notice that Josh's book, The Ultimate
Klezmer has 2 Pas D'espan melodies in it.  I don't play an instrument so
can't compare those versions to what is on the Tarras Cd but maybe one of
you can.
