Re: Colin Powell, Calypso and CCNY

During our time at CCNY (the poor man's NYU) whilst Colin Powell was in the
ROTC and I was pursuing a BA degree in English, there was a very popular
club called The West Indian Society which met Friday nights at Knittle
Lounge, serving up great West Indian music of all kinds - that was my intro
to this genre. I may even have danced with him for all I know. There were
lots of ROTC types there.
