Thanks to the list members who responded to the query I posted sometime ago on 
behalf of one of my bar mitsve advisees researching Benny Goodman's life.  They 
were very helpful.

Now, the young man is looking at another issue as part of the same research 
which he'd like to ask the list about.

Does anyone have any information about specific instances where the fact that 
Benny Goodman was Jewish interfered with his ability to get gigs or perform?

He also has the same question about Leonard Bernstein.  Is anyone aware of 
instances where Bernstein's Jewishness interfered with his career?
