klez/yiddish/voice

Hi Shamashers,

Does anybody know of any published (or otherwise)
literature or research that discusses klezmer's
connection to the sounds of Yiddish, I mean strictly
the phonetics, the aural qualities of the language in
the ornamentation or whatever? Also, can anyone think
of really good, overt examples of klez instruments
directly mimicking voice?
