Concert
THE ZMIROS PROJECT
Klezmatics founding members Frank London and Lorin Sklamberg, and
multi-instrumentalist Rob Schwimmer celebrate one of the most distinctive
and beautiful Jewish musical traditions - that of zmiros, the singing of
songs at the Sabbath table. This concert of Hebrew and Yiddish "spirituals"
coincides with the release of the trio's new CD, The Zmiros Project. Part of
our *Lost & Found Music Series.

* The Eldridge Street Project's LOST AND FOUND MUSIC SERIES showcases Jewish
musical forms that are less well known or understood. Through these unique
concerts and lectures, we extend our preservation mission, reclaiming works
that are at risk of disappearing by presenting them to a general audience.
The Eldridge Street Project is located at 12 Eldridge Street, between Canal
and Division Streets in lower Manhattan.
BY SUBWAY
Option I: Take the B, D, or Q trains to Grand Street station. Walk one block
east on Grand Street, then turn right on Eldridge Street; proceed South on
Eldridge, past Canal Street. The synagogue will be on your left.
Option II: Take the F train to East Broadway station. Exit station at
intersection of Canal & Essex; proceed West on Canal street, past Allen
Street. Turn left on Eldridge Street. The synagogue will be on your left.
You can also take any other subway line to Canal Street. Depending on which
line, it will be a 10 to 25 minute walk to the synagogue. From any of theses
stations, walk East on Canal Street, cross the Bowery and proceed three more
blocks to Eldridge Street. Turn right on Eldridge and the synagogue will be
on your left.
