Why would someone want to go out and speak on a subject that they are only 
aquatinted with in passing?  I remember an old Dale Carnegie speech class 
that I attended in high school. The rule was "Know twice as much on the 
topic, as you have time to talk about." I have a friend who has the formula 
for being an expert. It goes: In math X denotes the unknown, and a spurt is a 
drip under pressure. So an expert is an unknown drip under pressure.
