If you have a mircrophone hooked in to your computer make sure it is muted
on the record menu.  I learned the hard way.  After spending hours recording
old records and burning the cd, I went to listen to it.  In the background
there was the phone ringing, the tv blaring and my kids fighting (now
recorded for future generations).
