Dear Aaron,
Do you know Pushkin's poem about Russian count Oleg who wanted to
destroy Khazars? Unfortunately, it's too difficult to translate this
poem into English (like whole Pushkin). By the way, Pushkin's poetry was
not Anti-Semitic. Pushkin wrote about "a light in the Jewish home" and
about fighting of Jews against Assirians. As for Songs of Western
Slavics, Pushkin wrote in his comments that it's not h i s opinion about
Jews, it's an opinion of these songs. Pushkin has been respecting Jews
and other nations. He wrote - "when nations forgetting their fighting
will unite into one large family".
