Only a few days ago I played the very song Ari mentions to a friend, prefacing
it
with exactly those words: 'the most beautiful song I know'.
While on the subject of Muzsikás's Máramaros, I agree with Jerusha that the
whole
CD is very inspiring, and the insert instructive. One minor point on the insert:
I am not sure that the musical examples are correct. Certainly example II has
the
wrong accidentals. If, as Judit Frigyesi says in the text, this example shows 'a
combination of Ahavo Rabbo and the Misheberakh modes', whichever way her
combination works segment 2-3 should have a B-flat, not a B natural. Also, I
don't understand what segment 4 is doing there, in either Example I or Example
II.
