In my congregation, the choir has spent a great deal of time in sorting
through these old melodies and proposing variants for Purim. There's a
"bayom ha-hu" that works pretty well as the "Farmer in the Dell" but my
own favorite was the year that I sang Adon Olam to the tune of "On the
Street Where You Live." 

But I don't suppose that's what you have in mind, is it?
