Everybody:
Thanks to all those who responded to my plea yesterday. However, I am
still in dire need of information. I would be extremely grateful to
anyone who can provide me with information as to the composers,
lyricists, and/or original performers of the following songs:
Debka B'not Hakfar (Israeli)
Kan Badarom (Israeli)
The Black Cat (a.k.a. Di Shvartze Katz) (Yiddish theatre?)
Ayouma (Yemenite)
Achot Lanu K'tana (Yemenite)
Hora Yisrael (a.k.a. Im Zeh Tov V'Im Zeh Ra) (Israeli)
Givat Hatachmoshet (Israeli)
L'Chayei Ha'am Hazeh (Israeli)
Hamavdil (Ladino)
7:40 (klezmer)
Baym Rebn In Palestina (klezmer) (composer required only)
Bo'u V'Nashir (Israeli)
I have exhausted every paper, online and "b'al-peh" source I can find,
and still have found nothing on these songs. My deadline is tomorrow.
Can anyone help me out???
