I do believe that my clarinetist/friend Shelley Yoelin did in fact hear
papirosn played in cartoon style in one of those early flicks--I am pretty
sure it was a Tom and Jerry--in the freilekhs style which the klezmorim
recorded. I'll see if I can get a personal testimonial for you from him. I
remember him describing it and saying how it caught him totally off
guard....Will report!
