hatikvah

There's been a lot of idle speculation in this group about
HaTikvah. It was NOT written by Salamone Rossi. And Imber wrote the poem
without a melody in his head.
For those who are interested in the facts, look in Macy Nulman's CONCISE EN-
CYCLOPEDIA OF JEWISH MUSIC, or Gradenwitz's THE MUSIC OF ISRAEL
or the E.J. But let's not be passing fantasy off as fact.
