Jan & Helen, are you referring to Israel?  I hope so.

In our community, although there are differences between the Orthodox,
Conservative and Reform congregations, we do much to complement each other.  I
was amazed and happily so at how all sides of our community reacted to the
events in Israel that threaten Jewish unity.  We made  it clear that the
arguments between groups in Israel do NOT have to dictate how we run our own
communities here in the U.S.

As for your personal view, if you feel that Reform and Conservative monies
should be withheld from any part of the community, why don't you serve on a
local Jewish federation, council or other community board.  In that way, your
recommendation will be readily heard and maybe even followed.
