The opportunity for bridge-building existed. Reform leadership
urged their members to be quiet for the sake of unity, and
many of us who felt the urge to make a stand withheld action on
those impulses.

Then, after months of negotiation and compromise, we get it
kicked in our face. Yes, the people here aren't the same
as Lau and his henchmen, but they remained and remain silent.

In my personal view, it's time the Orthodox learned what
life is like without Reform or Conservative monies, support,
interaction, or acknowledgement.
