I guess it's my turn to put in my two-cents worth....

My name is Larry Mayer and I am Operations Supervisor for radio 
station KUSC in Los Angeles.  I am also on the board of directors of 
the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony.  One of my "missions in life" or 
mitzvah is to find more Jewish programs for public radio stations for 
the Jewish holidays.  In the past few years less and less programs 
have been offered by both National Public Radio and Public Radio 
International, so I have been trying to find funding to create 
programs of the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony to be inserted into 
public radio stations' schedules around the holidays.  I have nothing 
so far from any source.  Nonprofit organizations don't normally fund 
anything dealing with performing arts, especially Jewish performing 
arts.  I haven't yet given up as I know that I just haven't found the 
right method or place to search to find the financial support needed 
to broadcast these concerts on a national basis.  Most of the costs 
of creating these shows is going to pay the musicians as about half 
of them are union musicians.
