Getting to Know You

Since the membership of the list has been expanding, I think it's time for a
round of "getting to know you" messages. Why don't we each write a brief
message telling who we are, what we do, our interest in the subject of Jewish
Music Education and Songleading, etc.

I'll start:

I'm Adrian Durlester, owner of the Hanashir mailing list. The list is housed in
the UAHC area of the Reform Judaism section on Shamash-the Jewish Internet
Consortium. There is also a Hava Nashira Web page at:

http://shamash.org/reform/uahc/congs/ot/ot006/

I am Director of Music and Religious Education for Temple Beth El in Fargo,
North Dakota. I was born and raised in NYC, and received formal musical
training as a pianist at Juilliard (and later the Manhattan School of Music)
for 12 years pre-college.

My full-time job is as Production Manager for the performing arts facilities at
North Dakota State University. I also work freelance as a Production Manager,
Lighting Designer, Musical Director and Accompanist.

I have been attending the Hava Nashira workshops for the last 6 years. I am
also active in CAJE, and serve on the Internet Subcommittee of the
Communications Committee of the UAHC.

I have an eyshet chayil of a wife named Linda, and (currently) three dogs and
one cat.

OK folks. Your turn.

Adrian
