[HANASHIR:14680] Re: guitar advice (I say steel string)

As long as the guitar is playable and produces a decent sound, it doesn't
matter what kind of guitar. However, what makes a nylon string guitar the
ideal guitar for the basics? I teach the basics based on the the individual
background of each student. I can teach the basics by way of Classical music
John Mayer, the Beatles, etc. By considering each student's musical taste, a
higher success rate is possible. I've taught hundreds of 13 year olds and if
they can't relate to the music and the sound of their guitar, they will
quit.
