Boy I love this stuff!

Much more interesting than the nuts and bolts of being an actor...like standing in line with

2,000 other extras trying to get cast in Mystic River...yawn!

And not one of these actors had a good story to tell!

There are 2 wonderful books:

The Bright Stars of Exile

and
Vagabond Stars

abouth the Yiddish theatre.

That, and Jacob Adler's granddaughter wrote a wonderful book about him, that came out a few years ago.The Yiddish Theatre and Jacob P. Adler
