Remember:
If you are over 50, Klezmer means simcha music and recognizable songs in
Yiddish.
If you are under 30 and on the east coast, it means experimental instrumental
music involving the minor mode.
West coast too. The first experimental klezmer music I remember hearing,
except maybe for the Statman show I mentioned the other day, was the New
Klezmer Trio from SF.
