Most Mickey Katz tunes are parodies of hit tunes of the time. In terms of
the tunes that you mentioned their is the "Sheik of Avenue B." I am not sure
who originally recorded it, but Pete Sokolow and the Original Klezmer Jazz
Band covered it.
Also keep your eyes out for Seymour Rechtzeit recordings, many of them
are "pop" tunes which his wife Miriam Kressyn translated for him.
