Layman & Eppler this Sat., 4/20, Seattle, 8:30-9:00 pm (& maybe on the 'Net?)

The duo of Sandra Layman and Alexander Eppler (violin and cimbalom) will
perform for half an hour this Saturday evening, April 20, 8:30-9:00 p.m.
PDT, in a (short) set of Romanian, Hungarian, and Jewish music. Come for the
hokum and stay for the good music, or vice versa. Free admission!

At:
Town Hall Seattle
1119 - 8th Avenue (at Seneca St)
Seattle, WA 98101
http://www.townhallseattle.org/sArticles.cfm?aId=6

Price of admission: $0000000000.00 (and worth every penny!)

Our set will, I'm told, also be broadcast live over KING-FM, the classical
radio station at 98.1 in Seattle. They webcast at http://king.org , although
I can't guarantee we'll be on the webcast. If we are, it would be at 11:30
p.m. Eastern daylight time, Saturday night.

I'll be hanging out for a little while after we play, for anyone interested
in shmoozing or buying a "Little Blackbird" CD.

This is part of an all-day marathon program called "Schubert and His World,"
a celebration of the composer Franz Schubert and Austro-Hungarian music, and
more. Quite a few performers, classical and not, will be appearing. If
you're interested in the lineup, please consult the web site above for the
schedule.

(And no, Alex and I won't be playing one lick o' Schubert. We're under the
Austro-Hungarian rubric but will actually be sneaking across the Carpathians
to southern Romania, too...)

Thanks!
Sandra
