Could this perhaps be the song "Blond biste vi a shtangen"?
("You are blonde as a sheaf.") It's a lovely song.
If I remember right, it's by Hirsh Glik. The song and
a brief account of its history can be found in one of
the two earlier Mlotek books -- I would look it up for
you but don't have my book with me at the moment.
