<< Hello,
I have been asked by a director of a vocal group if I know of any 3+
part a'cappella vocal arrangements of "Erev Shel Shoshanim" or "Dodi
Li".
I don't. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I don?t know of any either - but wouldn?t necessarily come across such
arrangements in my line of instrumental work. But I _can_ tell you that it
wouldn?t be at all difficult to come up with one. Instrumentalists arrange
these works all the time quite successfully if you have the right training to
do so. I had to use this skill last month when a bride asked for an
arrangement of her favorite song of all times, Ma Navu. The bride walked down
to it instead of the multitude of other more common choices. The arrangement
was to be for a mixed ensemble of soprano, alto, flute, and clarinet. Not
exactly common. I actually got to hear it from afar since she had her four
friends ?perform? it instead of our ensemble. It was in the range and sounded
great wafting over the water?s edge if I don?t say so myself! Bottom line is:
I?m quite sure your Dodi Li and Erev S. can exist fairly easily if you don?t
want to have a major cantata from the two works.
