I, otoh (or likewise, I guess), *very* often have trouble differentiating
lyrics, and I think always have; didn't we have a little thread on this
once? I *think* I shared, then, my fractured hearing of "Blowin' in the
Wind" which I really think _improved_ it: I thought PP&M sang "How many
tears"--not "ears"--"must one man have before he can hear people cry?" And
I still think--I really _do_ think I must have previously posted this--that
that's a much better line (though, mind you, I didn't intend to improve on
Dylan; that's what I thought I heard): *That's* the real point about
developing empathy and compassion. "How many ears"--that's just silly. You
could have an extra ear--which nobody does, anyway--and still not hear other
people's tears.
