I don't know the most reliable source for this sort of information so
I went to an internet site www.jewhoo.com   I have no idea as to their
sources  and their general reliability.  But it seems that their
purpose is primarily to identify Jewish personalities, so I hope they
take their task seriously.  Realize that whatever the quote says, they
choose to list him anyway.  Why, I don't know.

I look forward to discovering the answer to this question and would be
thankful for your help.
