son-of-a-bulgar is a great euphemism for SOB.

Even though Les Paul invented multi-tracking, having heard him play, I still
think he has more than 2 arms and hands. While on the Les Paul topic, anyone
who can should check out the Dangerous Curves exhibit at MFA. They have one
of Les' old guitars from the 50s, among other interesting specimens.

To keep this only slightly near topic, I have always found it fascinating
the role that various Polish, Russian and eastern-European immigrants, both
Jewish and non-Jewish, had on the development of the guitar. John Dopyera
(Dobro, National), Hermann Weissenborn (Hawaiian lap steel guitars), etc...
