It seems to me that there is more to making Jewish music than having a
Jewish name (or parents with Jewish names) -- whatever definition we
use.  I think that the fact that lineage will suffice for being Jewish
leads to that flawed notion and "Jewish music" projects such as the
list  below, the "Stars of David" CD-rom and Theresienstadt composer
series that include pieces before and after the Shoah that have
nothing to do with Judaism.  It is of the same genre as "Bar Mitzvah
books" of Jewish Sports Heroes and Adam Sandler's song.

In fact, if Judaism really taught that Judaism is all about blood,
conversion would not be possible and it would feel racist to me.

That said, it is interesting that several of the list members below
have recorded music relevant to Judaism (e.g., Streisand's "Hatikvah"
and Jolson's "Kol Nidre").
