Actually "She'll be Coming Round the Mountain" is prefect for "L'cha Dodi".In
fact i heard a story that "She'll be Coming Round the Mountain" is really
written by someone Jewish and is all about Shabbat. The "she" is the
shechineh, the shabbas bride . The "six white horses" are the days of the week
before Shabbas. "we'll go down to meet her" refers to going to greet the
Shabbas bride. And "oh we'll all have chicken and dumplings(kneidle)" is of
course the Shabbas meal.
