My immediate concern about my suggestion for saving 78's is not archiving or 
research or even public 
access.  My immediate concern is the stopping of their destruction.  Something 
that will be occuring at an 
increasingly rapid pace.  I believve local campaigns and local contacts would 
be more effective than sending 
them off to larger and out-of town institutions.
