  These matronymics are purely Yiddish. They all consist of a Yiddish 
woman's first name and the suffix -kin (from Yiddish "kind," child.

        How about the matronymic Sirkish as in Rabbi Joel Sirkish - 
wheer the Sir is from Soro and the ish is the (Yidish) suffix?
or the patrnomyic Isseles where Isser is the father's name and les is 
the  suffix?  Why aren't they 
SirKIND
and 
IsserKIND?

coudn't the kin suffix be Russian and not necessarily Yiddish

        This morphology is completely undrelated to Russian surnames
like "Bordoin(sorry, Borodin), Bulganin, Tcherpnin (sorry, Tcherepnin) 
and so on, where the suffix is -in.
