One more data point:
I've noticed in benchers, for Birkat Hamazon, that most Orthodox benchers
have the following phrase:
"...v'rachamim v'cha-yim v'sholom v'chol tov, umikol tuv l'olom al
y'chasraynu"
And that Conservative ones seem to have:
"...v'rachamim v'cha-yim v'sholom v'chol tov, umikol tov l'olom al
y'chasraynu"
I once asked somebody why the tov/tuv difference, and was told that the
"tov/tuv" differences between "adj-adv/noun" is Classical Hebrew, and that
modern Hebrew uses tov all the time.
I pass this on without vouching for any accuracy!
