I don't know that I'd leave off the transliteration if
the goal is to learn the song well, but I would
definitely recommend having the Hebrew as well. If
there are space constraints, one could write at least
the Refrain, or the main liturgical line of text, in
Hebrew. I truly believe we should be giving our
students of all ages as many opportunities as possible
to connect with Hebrew text, letters, vocabulary.
Every little piece adds a dimension to their Jewish
learning and their connection to Jewish language and
culture. Some students will actually acquire language
this way, others may simply understand that it is
important and that "we are all connected." But the
opportunity should always be given in whatever form we
are technically capable of. Good luck to us all!
